Singer Rihanna secretly gave birth to her new baby on August 3 in Los Angeles. TMZ broke the news, and People confirmed the birth.
The baby’s full name is not known, but TMZ was informed by sources that it starts with an R, like his older brother RZA.
Rihanna announced her second pregnancy at the Super Bowl in February. She hasn’t disclosed the gender as of yet, but she spoke with British Vogue about her hope to have more children and how she felt neutral about the baby’s sex.
“Listen, I’m past caring,” she said at the time. “My wish would be to have more kids, but whatever God wants for me, I’m here. I’m open [to any baby gender next]. Girl, boy. Doesn’t matter.”
She added that Rocky wanted to know the sex of their first child. “He wanted a boy,” she said. “At first, he was open, then he said, ‘no, I want a boy, I’m sure’. I was like, ‘Lord, please, let this man get what he wants…'”
At the Met Gala, Rihanna briefly spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how her second pregnancy was going. “It’s so different from the first one,” she said. “No cravings. Tons of nausea. Everything’s different, but I’m enjoying it. I feel good. I feel energetic.”
